Responsibilities
Perform infrastructure, engineering, and administration tasks on supported platforms and cloud services.
Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient platform and cloud services within a hybrid environment.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and manage Infrastructure‑as‑Code templates.
Optimize resource usage and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
Perform platform and services administration, tenant management, version upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
Monitor systems, conduct maintenance, growth planning, problem analysis, documentation, backups, and recovery.
Support modernization and operational transparency initiatives, collaborating with faculty, business teams, and vendors.
Customer Service Expectations Maintain a customer‑focused approach in all duties, ensuring professional, timely, and effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Seven (7) years of related professional experience in systems engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a higher‑education environment.
Ten (10) or more years of related professional experience in systems engineering.
Industry Linux certification.
Industry cloud certification.
Industry project management certification.
Industry major service certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of operating system, server, and cloud architecture and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of system and application security, monitoring, and enforcement.
Experience creating and maintaining documentation, project plans, and schedules.
Proficiency with automation tools and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
Effective communication and team‑oriented collaboration skills.
Ability to analyze issues, prioritize tasks, and deliver high‑quality results.
