Requirements for This Network Administrator Job
Comprehensive understanding of network infrastructure components, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, switching, routing, and wireless networking standards.
Proficiency in utilizing network monitoring and diagnostic tools is essential for effective performance management, incident tracking, and service delivery.
Familiarity with IT change management, disaster recovery, and business continuity principles to ensure the resilience of our network systems.
A strong skill set in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise network equipment—such as switches, routers, and wireless access points—is critical.
Expertise in network security administration, including VPN configuration, access control lists (ACLs), and patch and firmware management, will be necessary to safeguard our infrastructure against potential threats.
