Overview The Senior Analytics Engineer is a key member of the Data Analytics team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data and analytics solutions that empower stakeholders across the organization. The role partners closely with business, data science, data platform, and data governance teams to translate complex business needs into reliable, actionable insights that drive decision‑making and business outcomes. The position is based in Alpharetta and offers the opportunity to work on enterprise‑wide data initiatives while helping shape modern analytics practices, including DataOps, advanced analytics, and AI/ML enablement. Responsibilities Build, deploy, and maintain data models that support analytics, data science, and business use cases. Design and develop ETL data pipelines to ensure reliable, high‑quality data delivery. Create and maintain analytics products and BI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. Partner with functional teams to identify opportunities, solve business problems, and translate stakeholder requirements into technical metrics and documentation. Act as a trusted data advisor, promoting effective and responsible use of data across the organization. Collaborate with Data Governance to define and implement data quality rules, standards, and metrics. Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code and data products. Develop data visualizations and storytelling assets that clearly communicate insights to business leaders. Partner with Data Science and Data Platform teams to support advanced analytics, AI/ML solutions, and enterprise data pipelines. Embed DataOps principles into daily work to improve reliability, automation, and scalability. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, data modeling, or a closely related discipline. Proven experience building and maintaining analytics data models and ETL pipelines. Strong background in partnering with business stakeholders to deliver data‑driven solutions. Experience applying software engineering and CI/CD best practices in analytics environments. A solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts. Skills That Set You Apart Advanced SQL and Python skills for analytics and data engineering use cases. Strong data modeling expertise and understanding of data engineering principles. Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, or similar platforms. Experience with data reliability and automation, including validation, orchestration, and testing (e.g., DBT). Experience with ETL tools and platforms such as Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent. Familiarity with cloud environments, real‑time data, machine learning concepts, or DevSecOps practices. Strong written, verbal, and data storytelling skills.
