Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator that will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of servers, networks, and software systems. This role involves managing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, implementing system upgrades, monitoring system performance, and enforcing security protocols. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Windows/Linux servers, cloud services, and network protocols, and works closely with IT staff and other departments to resolve technical issues and support business operations. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment are essential.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Perform server administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers.
Knowledge of computer operating procedures, network protocols, system software products and applications, and multi-vendor environments.
Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.
Administer, maintain, and optimize VMware server environments to ensure high availability and performance.
Responsible for managing and maintaining 3CX Cloud VOIP System.
Manage and administer Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
Collaborate with network administrators to resolve connectivity issues.
Prioritize and schedule support requests, elevate more complex issues to the Director.
Utilize leadership skills to exercise independent judgment and decision-making, especially in diagnostics and troubleshooting of individual applications or infrastructure.
Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring that all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with minimal disruptions.
May require on-call availability and occasional after-hours work for system maintenance and upgrades.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.
5+ years of Systems Administrator experience.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of ownership.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Office 365 administration, including Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
Solid understanding of server administration, including Windows Server environments.
Preferred Skills
Experience in cloud computing and migration strategies.
Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Windows operating systems: 10/11, Server 2016, 2019, 2022.
Experience using Zoho Ticketing system/Datto RMM Tool and ESET AV Software.
