Responsibilities
Participate in the design and implementation process of new and existing products.
Lead omni‑channel projects from a QA standpoint and provide technical leadership to other QA engineers.
Define and implement black‑box, white‑box and automated testing suites for core marketing technologies, products and web‑based applications.
Design, develop and maintain end‑to‑end test scripts to validate ETL processes, ensuring data integrity, accuracy and workflow across multiple environments.
Automate ETL validation processes to improve efficiency and ensure scalability.
Validate email and SMS marketing platforms, including their end‑to‑end integrations and performance.
Test and verify integrations between customer data platforms (CDPs) and various systems such as CRM tools, marketing automation platforms and analytics solutions.
Perform in‑depth testing of data layer objects, particularly on Google Tag Manager (GTM)‑based websites.
Automate validation processes for tracking technologies, including Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, GTM tags and other digital analytics tools.
Test data and perform business application functional system and integration (end‑to‑end) tests for new and existing applications.
Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in review and approval processes of project deliverables.
Advise project teams on appropriate approaches to testing delivered products, including test tool sets.
Provide guidance to development and project teams on the creation of a master test plan and other testing related deliverables.
Assist project teams on identifying the needs for appropriate test environments and coordinate the establishment of appropriate test environments.
Find, track and prioritize bugs and work toward their resolution.
Define and track quality assurance automation metrics such as automation defect densities, defect age and automation coverage.
Participate in the testing of production emergency bug fixes.
Perform rotating on‑call support duties and periodically participate in after‑hours release testing.
Participate in release production validation.
Qualifications
5+ years of testing experience in retail or e‑commerce marketing technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
Experience designing, developing and maintaining test scripts aligned with business requirements.
Experience ensuring end‑to‑end marketing data campaigns, email workflows and customer journeys are accurate and consistent across multiple environments.
Experience validating email/SMS marketing platforms and their end‑to‑end integrations.
Experience validating CDP integrations with various applications, including CRM systems and marketing automation tools.
Experience testing data layer objects (especially for GTM‑based sites).
Experience automating the validation of tracking technologies such as Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, GTM tags and other analytics tools.
Extensive experience with SDLC and testing methodologies, including functional testing, end‑to‑end integration testing, system testing, compatibility testing, regression testing and defect cycle management.
Good experience in test plan creation, test case creation and peer review.
Hands‑on experience with test management tools such as JIRA, QC tools and similar.
Experience with automation testing tools such as UiPath, Litmus, Email on Acid, JUnit, Cypress or equivalent.
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Java or Shell scripting.
Strong experience in SQL for verifying campaign data in databases or CRMs.
Hands‑on experience in Big Query or similar platforms for advanced marketing data validation and analysis.
Knowledge of UTM parameters, tracking tags and conversion pixels.
Understanding of GDPR, CAN‑SPAM and other compliance considerations.
Ability to work in an onsite‑offshore model.
Experience guiding and supporting team members.
Good experience interacting with business teams to understand user stories and business cases.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI and similar.
Knowledge of ETL tools and cloud platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

The starting salary for this position is $116,000 – $126,000 and may increase to $136,000 depending on merit, length of service with the company and other factors. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
