If you have proficiency and experience with crafting, developing, trouble shooting, debugging, evaluating, modifying, deploying and documenting data components (data architecture, logical and physical data models, database objects and database administration) that meet the needs of customer-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end user applications, let’s find business advantages hiding in plain sight. Here’s just some of what you’ll do: Design and build a robust data model architecture to support optimal data processing and standardized metric definitions Review data requirements / data stories and corresponding data sources and data architecture Document data requirements / data stories and maintain data models to ensure seamless integration into existing data architectures Create and maintain detailed information about the data being stored Support management of data assets as per enterprise standards, guidelines and policies Review and understand processing requirements inclusive of data and transaction volumes, scalability, security and performance requirements Assist in building and improving the database design and infrastructure required to support the Technology Infrastructure portfolio Communicate and work closely with business and product teams to support changes and implementation Design, develop, and maintain reports, processes and KPIs to drive business decisions Function as an active member of an agile team through consistent development practices (tools, components, and documentation) Find opportunities to adopt innovative technologies Take part in reviews of individual or team contributions Work on prioritized/assigned features for ongoing sprints Communicate and work reciprocally with business and product teams to support changes and implementation Are you up for the challenge? Here’s what you should have: Minimum Qualifications
4 years of data architecture and MS SQL database experience in a professional environment Expertise in an analytical language (Python, R or the equivalent) preferred; knowledge of SAS is a plus but not required. Demonstrable business report creation experience utilizing various reporting tools (e.g.: MS SQL Reporting Services, Tableau, Informatica, Cognos, Microstrategy, PowerBI, etc.) Experience with hands-on design and development across one or more database management systems Experience with distributed systems, algorithms and applications Strong understanding of infrastructure data and data management Experience with ServiceNow data and associated data model Hands-on expertise with distributed (multi-tiered) systems and relational database design, development, troubleshooting and automated testing Strong analytical skills with demonstrable ability to understand and document business data requirements Technical knowledge of DBMS products and ecosystem: storage formats, access algorithms, data management processes, administration, data maintenance, replication, high availability, encryption, etc. Proficiency with data structures and associated components Basic understanding of Metadata Management and Database Management Proficiency with and ability to document business data requirements in complete, accurate, extensible and flexible logical data models using data modeling tools Proficiency with creating basic data models using the relevant tools and frameworks Basic understanding of XML and schema development/reuse, database concepts, database design Proficiency with industry recognized methods, processes and standards Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure technologies and components (e.g.; compute, storage, JVMs, containers, networking fundamentals) Minimum Qualifications Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
