Sales Manager
for the
Crowne Plaza Union Station, Indianapolis, IN . This position will focus on generating revenue for the hotel within the assigned market and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The manager will handle incoming inquiries, make proactive calls, sell guestrooms, meeting, and banquet space to achieve targeted revenue goals, and finalize details of definite meetings and events. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Building solid relationships with new and existing accounts Proactively prospecting for new accounts Selling and utilizing the meeting & banquet space in the most profitable way Achieving targeted revenue goals Using key sales strategies Conducting outside sales calls and cold calls Detailing and being the on-site contact for select events and meetings Proactively selling meeting, banquet space and guest rooms through responding to client inquiries, engaging in sales calls (outside and phone), and conducting proper follow‑ups Maintaining and growing existing accounts Preparing banquet event orders and group resumes to ensure that group needs are effectively communicated to other hotel departments Developing and implementing sales strategy for the assigned market, completing action plans each quarter Generating professional and effective proposals and bids Generating top‑line revenue to exceed budget expectations Attending all weekly and monthly meetings, BEO, Resume, and Sales meetings Assisting with special projects as needed Performing all other duties/tasks assigned by the supervisor/manager REQUIREMENTS
Proactively selling & coordinating all aspects of group sales market Proactive sales efforts toward new accounts Maintaining and growing existing accounts Professional & effective proposals, bids & personal presentation skills Ability to generate top‑line revenue to exceed budget expectations Ability to lift up to 20 lbs BENEFITS
