Job Description The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable network connectivity, optimal performance, and adherence to security best practices across all sites and systems.
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points)
Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly
Ensure network security through access controls, firewall policies, VPNs, and regular patching
Manage IP addressing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and VPN connectivity across multiple locations
Collaborate with IT teams on system upgrades, network improvements, and infrastructure projects
Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and change records
Perform routine backups and participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planningProvide tier‑2/3 support for network‑related incidents and escalations
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry security standards
Job Requirements Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience administering enterprise networks
Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and network security principles
Hands‑on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies
Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Experience supporting Microsoft and/or Linux‑based environments
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, A+, Network+, Security+)
Experience with cloud networking and computing (Azure, AWS, or similar)
Knowledge of SD‑WAN, VoIP, or network automation tools
Experience in Enterprise multi‑site or hybrid environments
Knowledge of Windows Server operating system roles
Familiarity with Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Attention to detail and documentation discipline
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong focus on security and reliability
May require on‑call rotation or after‑hours maintenance
Occasional travel to remote sites as needed
Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company policy
