Senior Data Engineer
to design, build, and optimize our cloud-based data platform. In this role, you will lead modernization initiatives, develop scalable data pipelines, and ensure high-quality, trusted data is available across the organization. You will partner closely with analytics, business, and engineering teams to deliver a robust data foundation that supports reporting, insights, and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient data solutions on modern cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure/Microsoft Fabric preferred; AWS or comparable platforms considered).
Lead cloud data platform modernization and migration efforts, reducing manual processes and improving data reliability and performance.
Develop and optimize enterprise‑grade ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from systems such as Salesforce, MRI, and other internal/external sources.
Ensure accurate, consistent, and efficient data flow across the organization.
Data Governance & Quality
Define and enforce data architecture, governance, security, and quality standards.
Implement monitoring, performance tuning, and cost‑optimization strategies to maintain a high‑performing data environment.
Partner with BI and analytics teams to support trusted reporting and semantic modeling (e.g., Power BI, Fabric).
Translate complex business requirements into scalable, future‑proof data architectures.
Develop training materials and lead workshops to upskill team members.
Evaluate and adopt emerging data technologies (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure services) to drive innovation and long‑term scalability.
Contribute to the organization’s mission by enhancing data capabilities that support better decision‑making and operational impact.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of data engineering experience, including 3+ years building cloud‑based data solutions (Azure preferred).
Hands‑on experience with modern cloud data tools such as Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Synapse), Azure Data Factory/Synapse, Databricks, and/or Snowflake.
Proven ability to design and optimize large‑scale ETL/ELT pipelines in high‑volume enterprise environments.
Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with data modeling for analytics and reporting.
Experience integrating data from enterprise systems such as Salesforce or ERP/property management platforms (e.g., MRI).
Strong understanding of data governance, security, quality, and access control in cloud environments.
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable, production‑ready data architectures.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non‑technical teams.
