Who We Are VML, part of WPP, is a leading creative company that combines brand experience, customer experience, and commerce to drive growth. Award‑winning work for clients such as AstraZeneca, Colgate‑Palmolive, Dell, Ford, Microsoft, Nestlé, The Coca‑Cola Company, and Wendy’s has earned us recognition as a Leader in the Forrester Wave™ Reports. Our global network of 26,000 talent across 55+ markets is powered by VML Health, the world’s largest health agency.
About WPP WPP is a trusted growth partner for the world’s leading brands, uniting media intelligence, data solutions, creativity, production, and enterprise services. We help clients navigate change, capture opportunity, and deliver transformational growth.
Who We Are Looking For We want a Creative Director who leads by example, inspires a multidisciplinary team, and pushes creative boundaries. The ideal candidate is a maker who still gets excited about new ideas, who can thrive in a collaborative environment, and who is ready to partner with senior clients to deliver breakthrough work.
What You’ll Do
Develop ideas that earn attention because they deserve it.
Partner closely with strategy, production, and account leadership to turn ambitious ideas into reality.
Build trusted relationships with senior clients, becoming a strategic and creative partner rather than a vendor.
Lead day‑to‑day client conversations with confidence, guiding discussions, addressing challenges, and creating alignment.
Present and sell ideas with conviction, clarity, and the ability to illustrate what doesn’t yet exist.
Mentor emerging talent and help shape the next generation of creative leaders.
Raise the creative standard of everything you touch.
What We’re Looking For
A portfolio filled with ideas people wish they'd made first.
Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and persuasion skills.
The ability to earn the trust of senior clients and become an indispensable advisor to their business.
A relentless curiosity about culture, technology, media, and human behavior.
Comfort leading the room, leading the client, and leading the work.
A belief that the best work is still ahead of you.
The Opportunity This isn’t a maintenance account or a managerial role. It is a chance to lead work that matters, gets talked about, and changes lives. If you feel a rush when an idea lands and believe the next brief could produce the best work of your career, we’d love to meet you.
What We Offer
Passionate, driven people who champion extraordinary work.
An inclusive culture that builds an emergency community of positivity and active listening.
Competitive benefits including full spectrum group health coverage, a generous 401(k) match, and paid time off that supports overall wellness.
Growth‑mindset opportunities, real‑time feedback, and training across Wunderman Thompson and WPP.
VML is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, belief, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, marital status, military/veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental disability, or other protected group status. We are committed to fostering a culture of respect where everyone feels they belong and has the same opportunities to progress in their careers.
Base salary range: $100,000—$230,000 USD. Compensation varies based on location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. We offer a hybrid approach with teams in the office an average of four days a week and flexibility as needed.
