As a product-centric group, we’re focused on building and continuously improving modern data platforms that power analytics, reporting, and digital insights across Eastman’s customer-facing and internal solutions.
We are searching for a self-driven, enthusiastic Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data warehouse solutions in Microsoft Fabric. This role will be responsible for developing reliable data pipelines, shaping trusted data models, and enabling high-quality analytics through a modern cloud-based data platform. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth in data engineering with a practical mindset for quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions in Microsoft Fabric
Develop and support reliable data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines
Create data models that are performant, usable, and maintainable across business and product domains
Partner with product managers, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver sustainable data solutions
Ensure data quality, integrity, observability, and operational reliability across pipelines and warehouse assets
Optimize warehouse performance, refresh strategies, and storage design for efficient access to trusted data
Apply best practices for data governance, security, documentation, and lifecycle management
Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of the data platform
Support downstream analytics and reporting, including Power BI integration
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics engineering
Experience building end-to-end data solutions in Microsoft Fabric
Strong knowledge of data modeling, ELT/ETL design, orchestration, and transformation best practices
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently drive solutions
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Commitment to high-quality, scalable, and maintainable engineering practices
Technical Qualifications
Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, including pipelines and lakehouse/warehouse architecture
Advanced SQL skills, including transformation, optimization, and dimensional or semantic modelling
Experience with cloud-based integration and orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory
Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Azure SQL, SQL Server, or Oracle
Proficiency in Python and/or R for data processing and automation
Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
Experience with monitoring, error handling, and production support for data pipelines
Familiarity with data governance, access control, and secure data handling in cloud environments
Working knowledge of Azure and broader cloud platform concepts
