Havre de Grace, MD BITS is seeking an associate Network Support Technician/Systems Admin to provide part-time support with network administration services, server management, data backup and protection services, help desk support, computer tech support, and IT maintenance services on-site in Havre de Grace, MD.
Job Description:
May require travel to additional sites in Havre de Grace or in Elkton, MD.
Perform routine maintenance and updates to systems including back-up files; update, troubleshoot, and document systems as necessary.
Monitor system's effectiveness and efficiency.
Identify risks with workstations, servers, and the network.
Deploy equipment and software.
Provide a resource for system end users and management staff to ensure system integrity, reliability, and a strong and reliable security system.
Provide solutions and recommendations.
Communicate system functionality, hardware/software, connectivity upgrades, and recommendations to staff through routine reports and quarterly meetings.
Assist Client Leadership in development of Computer Security Policy and Procedures.
Requirements:
Less than 5 years (entry-level role, students welcome to apply)
Degree or degree-seeking candidate preferred but not required
Relevant IT certifications a plus
This is a part-time role requiring approximately 8 to 12 hours on-site per week.
