Job Description Objective The Sales Executive will drive growth by responding to customer needs and RFQs and driving business growth in the Modular Electrical Building sector. This industry is booming for Data Centers (AI, Crypto) and for Server Rooms to increase capacity for on-site customers. This role requires a highly meticulous and customer-focused individual who excels in a fast-paced, high-energy business.
Key Responsibilities
Industry-Specific Sales Experience:
Leverage your experience in Electrical Equipment or Electrical Systems to implement effective sales tactics that resonate with customers in these sectors.
Customer Relationship Management:
Establish and nurture long-term relationships with customers by providing solutions that meet their unique needs.
RFQ Management:
Read, analyze, and respond promptly to RFQs, ensuring all client specifications and deadlines are met with accuracy.
Technical Expertise:
Utilize your knowledge of key equipment found in a data center, such as power systems, rack systems, cable management, etc. Discuss new projects with customers and offer insightful, solution-oriented sales presentations.
Collaborative Efforts:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Applications, Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to ensure product offerings are aligned with the specific demands of the data center and modular building markets.
Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, client interactions, and other relevant information.
Proven experience in B2B sales.
Experience with mechanical and electrical systems required.
Strong understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce or Similar) and Microsoft Office.
A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related.
Experience as a Professional Salesperson in a highly technical role, or an Applications Engineer with a strong acumen and ability to craft solutions for customers.
Ability to manage and grow a pipeline of business with multiple customers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to negotiate and close deals.
A proven history of teamwork with internal departments and operations personnel to collaborate to ensure customer satisfaction and effective problem-solving.
Reports to Executive Vice President of Sales
Workplace Onsite, Itasca, IL, plus travel around North America (primarily USA) to see customers as needed.
Compensation Competitive base salary and great benefit plan
Lucrative commission plan, based on Bookings/Revenue/Margin.
