As a SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with experience in ETL tools, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Azure, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing both on-premise and cloud databases, as well as supporting data integration processes and ensuring the quality and consistency of information flows.
Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server databases, both on-premise and on Azure SQL
Design and implement efficient ETL processes using SSIS and other tools
Manage routine and extraordinary maintenance activities, backups, restores, and disaster recovery
Promptly resolve issues related to databases and integration processes
Collaborate with development teams, analysts, and stakeholders to define data requirements
Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexes to improve performance
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with current regulations
Requirements
Proven experience in the management and administration of Microsoft SQL Server (latest versions)
Excellent knowledge of ETL processes and strong skills in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Experience with SQL Azure and cloud-based database solutions
Expertise in performance optimization, query tuning, and index management
Knowledge of backup/restore procedures, high availability, replication, and disaster recovery
Proficient in T-SQL and scripting for process automation
Familiarity with key monitoring and diagnostic tools
Experience in complex and integrated enterprise environments
Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with developers, analysts, and project managers
Good command of English and Italian
