We are seeking a Frontend Engineer to design, develop, and deploy cloud‑native web components, focusing on building a robust design system. The role requires experience across the software development lifecycle—including front‑end, back‑end, data layer, and cloud integration—and will be part of an Agile team delivering secure, scalable, and high‑performing applications on modern cloud infrastructure. Full‑time, on‑site at Chantilly, VA. Clearance required: TS/SCI with Polygraph. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain high‑quality, scalable, and reliable software systems. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues. Continuously innovate to develop cutting‑edge software solutions. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to bring ideas to life. Ensure code is clean, maintainable, and adheres to best practices; conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Implement robust security measures to protect software systems from vulnerabilities and cyber threats. Create user‑centric designs that deliver intuitive and seamless experiences. Required Qualifications Proficiency in TypeScript and experience with Angular, React, and/or NestJS. Experience implementing GUI components in web applications using Angular. Building reusable code and libraries for future use. Asynchronous programming expertise. Ability to design, develop, test, and implement new applications based on project requirements. Experience decomposing concepts into discrete development tasks and managing work to deadlines. Ability to develop wireframes and storyboards for stakeholders. Optimizing front‑end applications for maximum speed and scalability. Preferred Qualifications Experience interfacing with big data. Experience or desire to implement cutting‑edge AI solutions. Automated testing for front‑end applications (e.g., Jasmine, Selenium, Cypress). Familiarity with developing front‑end solutions compliant with Section508. Development and deployment of applications in Commercial Cloud Services (C2S). Experience with Amazon Web Services cloud environments. Knowledge of open‑source front‑end libraries that manipulate PDF documents, such as PDF.js. Proficiency in Python for web service development with Flask or Django. Experience supporting customers’ mission spaces. Multi‑lingual developers capable of supporting translation API testing. Why Work at M1?
