Overview As a Business Analyst on our Software Development team, you will bridge the gap between product requirements and technical implementation, collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and designers to deliver high‑quality software solutions. This is a hybrid position that requires working in the office three times per week.
Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: work directly with the Product team to gather functional and non‑functional requirements during the technical scoping of a product initiative.
Analysis & Documentation: elicit, document, and prioritize work packages in collaboration with product and software development teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
Collaboration: serve as a liaison between product and development teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear language for non‑technical stakeholders.
Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business requirements and current systems.
Technical Solution Design: collaborate with development architects to finalize solution scope, ensuring business needs and technical standards are met.
Project Support: assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, providing ongoing support during sprint planning and execution.
Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the software development lifecycle.
Testing: coordinate and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring delivered solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a SaaS or software development environment.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, use case development, user story creation, and process mapping.
Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management and documentation software.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Knowledge of SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools is a plus.
Experience supporting and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including documenting results and ensuring alignment with product requirements.
