Medical Assistant

Position Type: Full Time; 35 Hours Weekly Benefits Eligible: Yes Location: Primary office located in Berkeley; travel to Toms River and Point Pleasant as needed Department: Outpatient Salary: $42,500 - $45,500

Responsibilities:

• Assist with medication refills and prior authorizations
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vitals, preparing lab specimens, and administering medications under the supervision of a physician
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms
• Manage patient records, and handle administrative tasks as needed
• Provide education to patients regarding their medications and treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care instructions
