Location: Ft Worth, TX - Hybrid, minimum 3 days onsite per week Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000 + Bonus Eligible About the Role We are looking for an experienced Network and Systems Administrator to manage and continuously improve our systems, networks, and IT infrastructure supporting our Fort Worth, TX operations and other offices. Due to export control and customer requirements, successful applicants must be U.S. citizens. This role plays a key part in maintaining a secure, compliant IT environment supporting defense, aerospace, and embedded systems customers. You will take ownership of core infrastructure and security operations, helping strengthen our security posture and compliance readiness (including environments aligned with NIST SP 800‑171 and CMMC requirements) as the company grows. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments, with a focus on GCC High workloads Plan and execute security‑focused infrastructure improvements, including hardening, segmentation, access controls, and monitoring Administer and secure Windows and Linux servers, endpoints, and core network services Support remote and distributed teams through secure access solutions (VPN, conditional access, privileged access workflows) Actively support cybersecurity initiatives, including: Security policy development and enforcement System and network hardening Vulnerability remediation and configuration baselines Log review, monitoring, and incident response support Assist with identity and access management, including Active Directory, RBAC, Group Policy, and privileged access controls Troubleshoot infrastructure, security, and end‑user issues while maintaining compliance requirements Maintain accurate system, network, software, and hardware inventories Create and maintain system administration guides, security runbooks, and training documentation Collaborate closely with IT, security, and engineering teams to support development and operational needs Required Qualifications Must be a US Citizen Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent hands‑on experience 3–5+ years of experience in cloud and/or hybrid Windows/Linux system administration Demonstrated experience working in secure or regulated environments (e.g., GCC High, GovCloud, DoD, defense, or compliance‑driven organizations) Technical Skills Strong experience with Microsoft technologies, including: Azure (including GCC High or restricted tenants) Microsoft 365 / Office 365 (GCC High preferred) Intune / Endpoint Management SharePoint Windows Server and Windows Desktop Active Directory expertise, including: Group Policy design and enforcement Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) Identity lifecycle management Experience administering remote access solutions (VPN, secure tunnels, or equivalent) Working knowledge of network and system security, including: Firewalls, IPS/IDS concepts Endpoint and server hardening Logging and monitoring Solid understanding of: Cloud and on‑prem storage Backup and recovery strategies Disaster recovery and business continuity Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, OS, network, and security‑related issues Automation & Scripting Experience with scripting and automation using: PowerShell Bash Python Batch or similar tools Ability to use automation to improve reliability, consistency, and security Certifications (Valued) Microsoft, Linux, Network, Cloud, Security Soft Skills & Attributes Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable documenting technical processes and security procedures Team‑oriented with the ability to work independently when needed Security‑first mindset with attention to detail Continuous learner who actively stays current with evolving threats, tools, and best practices Sound Exciting?
