Job Title: DevOps Release Manager / DevOps Release Engineer
Job Summary
DevOps Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing software releases across environments. The role ensures smooth, timely, and high-quality delivery of applications by managing CI/CD pipelines, release schedules, and cross-functional collaboration.
They act as the bridge between development, QA, and operations teams to deliver stable and efficient deployments with minimal risk.
Key Responsibilities
Release Planning & Coordination
Plan and manage end-to-end release lifecycle including build, test, and deployment Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams for release readiness Define release schedules, milestones, and dependencies across projects CI/CD & Automation
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery Ensure continuous integration and continuous deployment practices are followed Automate build, packaging, and deployment processes ͏
Release Execution
Perform and monitor deployments across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod) Lead Go-Live activities and ensure successful production releases Validate release readiness, deployment success, and rollback strategies Technical Skills
Strong experience in
CI/CD tools
(Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) Knowledge of
version control systems
(Git, branching strategies) Experience in
build & release management processes Process & Methodology
Strong understanding of
DevOps, CI/CD, Agile, and SDLC Experience in
release governance and change management Knowledge of
incident, problem, and risk management frameworks
Mandatory Skills: Azure DevOps.
Experience: 5-8 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
