Fed up with micromanagement? Do you enjoy proper conversations rather than dial-and-smile call centre sales? Are you looking for a desk-based sales role where you're trusted to get on with it, earn good commission, and work with grown-ups?
This is a full-time, permanent Internal Sales role within a growing UK telecoms reseller, focused on booking high-quality, qualified meetings for a field-based sales team selling business telecoms and VoIP solutions.
Your conversations open doors, start relationships, and directly impact revenue.
Working pattern & location
You'll be based in the Southampton office mostly, with optional team days or occasional time together to stay connected and keep that team buzz.
Here, you'll be trusted to manage your own day, your conversations, and your results.
What you can expect
You'll be rewarded properly for the work you do, including:
A solid basic salary of up to £30,000, depending on experience Uncapped commission with realistic earning potential well above average Clear, achievable targets – set from the start No moving goalposts and no unpleasant surprises If you're upbeat, confident on the phone, and motivated by commission, you'll enjoy working in a fast-moving telecoms environment where no two days feel the same.
What you'll actually be doing
You'll be part of a small, supportive internal sales team, speaking with UK businesses by phone and video.
Your role is about starting the right conversations and qualifying them properly, not hard selling.
Your day-to-day will include:
Making outbound calls to business owners and senior decision-makers Creating interest and qualifying opportunities in a friendly, professional way Booking well-qualified meetings for the external sales team Asking the right questions to assess suitability for business telecoms and VoIP solutions Updating the CRM with accurate notes and outcomes Building rapport and longer-term relationships over time Focusing on quality conversations, not call volume You'll receive full training on the services being sold, plus ongoing support – without anyone hovering over you.
What we're looking for
Ideally, you will:
Have experience in phone-based sales, telesales, or appointment-setting Be confident speaking with UK businesses and senior decision-makers Enjoy opening conversations rather than hard selling Be organised, positive, and comfortable managing your own day Be happy qualifying opportunities rather than passing everything through Experience selling VoIP Experience in IT, or technology sales is a bonus, but absolutely not essential. If you can talk confidently, listen well, and book meetings that genuinely count, you can succeed here.

This is not a call centre. You'll be part of a friendly team of around seven people.
