P URPOSE:
The Business Intelligence Developer will be a key resource in ensuring the delivery of Business Intelligence solutions for our internal business partners. Keys to this position are the ability to excel in the design, development, implementation and support of mission‑critical enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) reports built in Tableau or other reporting software. The candidate must be able to communicate equally well with business owners and IT professionals. An excellent blend of analytical, technical and communication skills in a team‑based environment is essential for this role. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
Essential Functions
Meets with end users to gain a better understanding of the business needs and collaboratively identify best practice solutions and define report requirements.
Have a clear understanding of the data and end user workflow in order to validate accurate results and reconcile discrepancies when necessary.
Builds data ETL processes to facilitate meaningful and efficient reporting.
Develops reports, dashboards, universes, and extracts for end users.
Train end users on the usage of reports and BI reporting software.
Maintains security profiles for end user access to data.
Monitor the performance of reports and take corrective action to optimize or improve the performance as problems arise.
Participates in the evaluation of BI utilities and tools. Coordinates application and integration configuration needs with other IT teams and end users. Assists in the installation, configuration, and upgrades of BI software.
Document the development of all processes used in Production as well as the resolution of problems.
Maintains compliance with corporate quality assurance policy and required documentation.
Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.
Regular and dependable attendance.
Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on CMSweb.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in the evaluation of BI utilities and tools. Coordinates application and integration configuration needs with other IT teams and end users.
Assists in the installation, configuration, and upgrades of BI software.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree with technology or business focus and one (1) or more years of related technical experience, or
High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) or more years of related technical experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.
Advanced working knowledge of relational database concepts.
Advanced SQL knowledge preferable using PL-SQL and/or T-SQL.
Experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle databases.
Experience with product administration and report writing software to deliver reporting solutions to users.
Experience with Tableau, Crystal Reports, MS-Access preferred.
Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
Ability to apply knowledge and acquire new technological skills independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal & problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a multi-task environment.

Work Location: Training and orientation at our Administrative facility. Work‑from‑home opportunities after ~90 days. Must reside in Texas and be willing to attend on‑site training and occasional in‑person department meetings in Austin, TX.
