This position combines hands‑on engineering with strategic data architecture, requiring the ability to translate business objectives, regulatory considerations, and information security requirements into scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and support a modern cloud‑based data platform for analytics and business intelligence.
Develop data ingestion, integration, transformation, and storage solutions for a wide range of data sources.
Establish scalable standards for data modeling, performance optimization, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Ensure the accuracy, availability, and consistency of enterprise data assets.
Data Governance & Information Management
Develop and maintain frameworks for organizing, categorizing, and managing enterprise data.
Partner with Information Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to support data protection initiatives.
Identify and manage sensitive business information throughout its lifecycle.
Integrate governance and classification controls into data pipelines, storage environments, and reporting platforms.
Business Partnership & Data Strategy
Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, finance, technology, and corporate functions to evaluate data needs.
Analyze existing and emerging data sources to determine business value, sensitivity, and usage requirements.
Define data retention, accessibility, and governance standards.
Serve as a subject matter expert on enterprise data architecture and best practices.
Data Security & Compliance
Implement controls supporting data access management, auditability, lineage, and accountability.
Assist with compliance‑related data requirements and internal control frameworks.
Contribute to enterprise data standards, documentation, and governance processes.
Platform Operations
Monitor, maintain, and optimize data workflows and integrations.
Troubleshoot complex data quality, performance, and operational issues.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to the data environment.
Provide guidance and mentorship to other technical team members.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related platform engineering roles.
Experience designing and supporting enterprise‑scale data platforms.
Strong background in ETL/ELT development, data integration, and large‑volume data processing.
Understanding of data governance, information management, and security best practices.
Experience partnering with security, risk, compliance, or governance teams on data‑related initiatives.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modern cloud data platforms and analytics environments.
Exposure to data cataloging, metadata management, or data lifecycle management initiatives.
Familiarity with regulatory, audit, or control‑driven environments.
Experience supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, or business intelligence functions.
