Responsibilities
In charge of repairing and maintaining thousands of desktops, laptops and other PC devices.
Installing new PCs and laptops to replace end‑of‑life cycle equipment.
Maintaining inventory and properly disposing of outdated equipment by recycling items.
Maintain and close work orders in the ticketing system.
The technician receives oversight from the Field Tech Manager to ensure that policy, procedure and methodology are followed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Ability to work independently but in a team environment.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to multi‑task and balance their workday.
Candidate MUST be a Wisconsin resident. No relocation is allowed. 100% On‑site. This is an in‑person job with no remote work. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and days lasting longer than 8 hours. Options include 4 ten‑hour days with Friday off, 5 eight‑hour days, or a 9‑day/9‑hour two‑week schedule with one Friday off per two‑week period. The technician will work at client facilities assisting the regular field tech with project and problem tickets. When traveling to facilities, the technician will be paid mileage at .51 cents per mile and their hourly wage for travel time. When working at a home office they are not paid mileage and for travel time.
Skills Required 2 years of experience in the following:
Remote trouble shooting
Customer service/interacting with users during device setup
Imaging Devices
Ability to carry 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours (may not be required daily but is a requirement)
Skills Desired – A Plus To Have
Any AV integration experience
Rate depends on experience
