Your new company A well-established and fast-growing retail organisation with a significant multi-site presence is seeking to appoint a commercially driven Financial Accountant to join its high-performing finance team. Operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, the business is continually moving, changing and ensuring they are moving with trends and consumer demand, The office is centrally located with an office in Dublin city. This role requires full working rights, visa sponsorship will not be possible. Your new role This is a broad and impactful role where you'll sit at the centre of finance and operations, turning financial data into meaningful insight. You'll be responsible not only for producing accurate reporting, but also for helping the business understand what's driving performance across stores and regions. Act as a key link between finance and operations, translating financial data into clear, actionable insights Deliver accurate and timely reporting while helping the business understand performance drivers across stores and regions Own the month-end process end-to-end, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs are supported by strong analysis Analyse trends across sales, margins, and costs, providing meaningful commentary to support decision-making Partner with operational teams to challenge assumptions, identify risks, and highlight opportunities to improve profitability Contribute to process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, speed, and efficiency Drive improvements across high-volume areas such as cash, stock, and revenue processes Maintain strong financial controls and balance sheet integrity Support statutory reporting requirements and coordinate effectively with auditors to ensure a smooth year-end process What you'll need to succeed You will be a self-starter, with great initiative, who wants to take on a busy and fulfilling, key role. This role will play a key part in business partnering, so communication, attitude and effort are everything. You must have: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) 2-5 years' relevant post-qualified experience or strong practice training Proven experience within a fast-paced commercial or retail environment Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems Exposure to SAP / Dynamics 365 an advantage Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets Strong communication skills and the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders A proactive, curious, and commercially driven mindset with strong attention to detail What you'll get in return You'll join a business where finance plays a key role in shaping strategy and driving performance.
