Assistant Athletic Trainer Position Title - Assistant Athletic Trainer Division/College - Athletics Department - General-Program Support Location - Moscow Position Overview - Under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Training Services and the guidance of the Team Physicians, this position will perform properly and efficiently, to the best of their ability and consistent with the standards of the University of Idaho, all duties and responsibilities for the health care of student-athletes; to include coordination of care, prevention, and rehabilitation services to student athletes; and involvement in clinical education, supervision, and mentoring of Athletic Training students in the Athletic Training Education Program. Focus on Men's Football and other assigned sports. Unit URL - govandals.com Position Qualifications Required Experience - Division I Football athletic training experienceWorking with students, coaches and administrative personnel in a broad range of medical situations Required Education - Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field Required Other - Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic TrainerEligible for State of Idaho Board of Medicine licensure as an Athletic TrainerPossess, or obtains within 6 months of hire, Instructors Certificate for Basic Life Support Provider (ICBLSP) Additional Preferred - Previous athletic training experience as a full-time/intern (non-GA) Athletic Trainer at the collegiate level, particularly having had a primary sport responsibility, including team travelPrevious experience as a rehabilitation coordinator within a division 1 athletic departmentPrevious experience in athletic training room organization and administrative duties, including Substance Abuse Testing/educational programsProven ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaches, staff, and medical professionalsDemonstrated ability to work in stressful situationsAthletic Training patient care philosophy consistent with Director of Athletic Training ServicesProven ability to contribute to athletic training students' educational experience, both academically and clinicallyPrevious experience as an Approved Clinical Instructor (ACI) in an approved Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP)Previous experience with SportsWareEMROnline Solutions Physical Requirements & Working Conditions - None Degree Requirement - Listed degree qualification is required at time of application Posting Information FLSA Status - Exempt Employee Category - Exempt Pay Range - Commensurate with experience Type of Appointment - Fiscal Year FTE - 1 Full Time/Part Time - Full Time Funding A visa sponsorship is available for the position listed in this vacancy. - No Posting Date - 05/28/2026 Closing Date Open Until Filled - Yes Special Instructions to Applicants - Applications received by 6/3/26 will receive first review consideration.
