UPMC Passavant-McCandless, an ANCC Magnet® designated hospital, is hiring a FullTime Floor & Project Technician to support our Housekeeping team. This is a great opportunity for candidates who want dependable work, a supportive environment, and room to grow. Title and pay are based on your experience and education. Schedule: This position works rotating/variable shifts. What You'll Do:
Handle emergency cleanups with proper sanitizing procedures Shampoo and extract carpets in assigned areas Maintain floors by removing soil, wax, and sealers Inspect your assigned areas and report any issues to your supervisor Use and care for equipment safely and responsibly Follow safety and sanitation standards to keep our patients, visitors, and staff safe Work within hospital policies and support systemwide behaviors Perform other duties as needed to support the team Why You'll Love Working Here! 1 YR previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED OR successful completion of the 5-week EVS training program
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties. Ability to use all housekeeping equipment. May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Act 34
