Join a dedicated emergency medical team providing both advanced and basic life support to individuals in urgent pre-hospital situations across the Central Plains region of the United States. This role operates under physician-approved protocols to ensure the highest standard of care. Key Responsibilities
Evaluate the severity and nature of illness or injury to determine appropriate medical interventions and prioritize care. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, consciousness level, and skin condition. Perform patient extrication, hemorrhage control, and manage IV fluid administration. Deliver essential patient care such as airway management, suctioning, CPR, spinal immobilization, fracture and wound care, and vehicle extrication. Execute advanced life support procedures including endotracheal intubation, ventilator operation, IV and intraosseous access, dysrhythmia interpretation, defibrillation, cardioversion, medication administration, and emergency thoracentesis and cricothyrotomy. Assess and treat a wide range of emergencies including burns, trauma, psychiatric, respiratory, obstetric, diabetic, pediatric, environmental, poisoning, substance abuse, and hazardous material exposures. Communicate patient status and treatment details effectively with emergency department physicians and nursing staff via radio and cellular devices. Operate mobile intensive care units safely, considering weather and road conditions. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all privacy regulations regarding protected health information. Education and Experience Completion of an approved Mobile Intensive Care Technician (MICT) Paramedic course is required. Licenses and Certifications
Current MICT-Paramedic certification valid within the region. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals (PEPP) certification within 90 days of hire. Valid driver's license applicable to the region. Preferred certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
