Detail-oriented and motivated, the part-time or full-time Occupational Safety Data Analyst will analyze workplace injury and illness data, classify cases using the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) coding system, and draft incident narratives in a fully remote setting. Key responsibilities
Review and classify workplace injury, illness, and fatality records using the BLS Occupational Injury and Illness Classification System (OIICS) Draft clear incident narratives summarizing case circumstances while exercising independent judgment on complex cases Collaborate with team members for guidance and quality checks, while managing multiple work queues and deadlines
Required qualifications
A bachelor's degree in communications, health/environmental science, statistics, or a related field Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply rules consistently and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint) Experience or strong interest in data analysis, public health, occupational safety, or epidemiology Outstanding time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
