Help A Child Smile, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Expanded Duties Dental Assistant in Claxton, GA and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school working full or part-time. Our innovative in school dental program offers something different than a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people looking for a diverse and different working environment. This is a full-time position, no evenings or weekends. Dental Assistant (EDDA) Qualifications:
Must hold active CPR/BLS certification card Must have 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant (DA) Must have 1+ years Digital X-ray Imaging experience Valid driver license, reliable transportation and a willingness to travel locally is a must Works well with others (both children and adults) Ability to work well in fast-paced environment; organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task Must be able to carry up to 55 lbs. Able to walk several flights of stairs on occasion as many schools are without elevators Must Be X-Ray Certified Must have; EDDA certification Must have Coronol Polish Certification Must Be Sealant Certified Must Be Fluoride Certified
Dental Assistant (DA) Responsibilities:
Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics Digital X-ray Imaging Patient Records Charting Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization Assistance Travel Daily to and from school sites
Help A Child Smile Offers:
Evenings and weekends off! Working a school day schedule (about 6 – 7 hours); on average between 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Full and part time positions – Must be available Monday-Friday Competitive Compensation State-of-the-art portable dental equipment Latest technology & digital radiography
