An established and highly respected Building Services Contractor is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing Design Management team in Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased Building Services professional who enjoys coordinating, reviewing and managing design rather than undertaking detailed hands-on design calculations and production work.
Working closely with the Design Director and an experienced team, you will play a key role in managing mechanical design development through the detailed design and construction phases of a diverse portfolio of projects.
The business delivers technically challenging schemes across the commercial, hospitality, residential, sports and public sectors, including major refurbishments, decarbonisation programmes, stadium upgrades and high-end residential developments.
The Role
• Manage and coordinate mechanical design activities from RIBA Stages 3-5
• Liaise with external MEP design consultants and specialist subcontractors
• Review design information for technical compliance, coordination and buildability
• Support tender submissions, bid preparation and pre-construction activities
