Inspects organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented. Observe employee behaviors, reinforcing positive behaviors and taking corrective action when necessary.
Conducts weekly toolbox meetings. Assists in the production of OSHA written programs, administers, and performs training such as bloodborne pathogen exposure, confined space entry initially upon hire, and annually thereafter. Administers new hire and annual or required refresher training for topics such as emergency planning and response, fall protection, fire extinguisher, hearing conservation, lockout / tag out, personal protective equipment, respiratory protection annual fit test. Provide hands on training for forklift and aerial lift. Maintains the hazard communication program and performs training when necessary. Plans and implements programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices and other required topics. Conducts incident investigations and produces reports. Provides information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions. Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in safety management preferred; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired. Benefits:
