Perform a broad range of nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, PET/CT imaging, thyroid studies, and cardiac evaluations Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines Use gamma cameras and hybrid imaging systems to acquire and process diagnostic images Monitor patient vitals and comfort throughout procedures, ensuring a positive imaging experience Analyze and interpret scan results, identifying abnormalities and assisting in clinical decision-making Maintain imaging equipment, perform quality control procedures, and troubleshoot as needed Accurately document all procedures and results in EHR and imaging platforms Follow all HIPAA, NRC, and facility guidelines related to radiation safety and patient care Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or closely related field Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program required Certifications
Current certification through NMTCB or ARRT(N) BLS certification required (or completed within 30 days of hire) Additional imaging credentials (CT, PET) a plus Skills & Qualifications
1-2 years of experience preferred, though new grads encouraged to apply Proficiency with diagnostic imaging systems and PACS integration Knowledge of radiation safety principles and quality assurance practices Exceptional attention to detail and image quality Excellent communication and bedside manner for a broad patient population Ability to manage competing priorities in a calm, organized manner Benefits
