Operations Team Member Job Overview

The Operations Team Member , reporting to the Operations Care Center Manager , is responsible for a variety of activities, including operating the retort, creating and packaging paw prints, engraving plaques and memorial items, and processing and packaging cremated remains. This position works closely with a dedicated team within a care center environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of daily duties, including:
    • Operating the retort
    • Creating and packaging paw prints
    • Engraving plaques and memorial items
    • Conducting quality control checks
    • Processing and packaging cremated remains
    • Completing other responsibilities as assigned from time to time
  • Maintain daily cremation goals while producing cremains with an emphasis on compassion and excellence.
  • Monitor equipment to ensure processes are functioning properly; make adjustments as needed and submit maintenance requests.
  • Perform basic cleaning and housekeeping duties, including:
    • Sweeping
    • Mopping
    • Vacuuming
    • Dusting
  • Clean and maintain equipment used in cremation procedures, including machines that grind bones into powder.
  • Follow safety procedures to protect yourself and others from exposure to hazardous materials and dust particles.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education, Training & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 12 months of experience in a service industry.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
