Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as an Associate Clinical Assistant supporting surgical unit operations during night shifts. This full-time role involves 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., working 72 hours biweekly. Ideal candidates have prior patient care experience and a passion for enhancing nursing practices through direct patient care, effective communication, and clerical support. Essential Responsibilities:
Fiscal Responsibility: Efficiently manage supplies and equipment, complete assignments promptly, and adhere to timekeeping protocols. Support unit goals by minimizing waste and accepting float and extended day off assignments. Quality: Maintain up-to-date documentation per unit standards, demonstrate problem-solving and multitasking skills within scope, and contribute suggestions to improve workflow and patient experience. Patient Satisfaction: Promote positive patient interactions through timely responses, professional conduct, purposeful rounding, and maintaining a quiet, respectful environment. Patient Safety: Practice safe patient mobilization, use two patient identifiers consistently, report unusual occurrences, and adjust care routines to meet individual patient needs while adhering to privacy policies. Professional Growth: Share knowledge with colleagues, participate in orientation and cross-training, demonstrate leadership, and engage in ongoing learning opportunities. Customer Service: Foster teamwork, practice AIDET communication techniques, and provide holistic care to diverse patient populations.
Education and Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within three months of hire. This position offers a supportive environment focused on professional development and patient-centered care in a regional healthcare setting.
