Evaluate, prevent, and treat injuries and illnesses for student-athletes in grades 6-12 Provide immediate care, rehabilitation, and referrals under the supervision of the Director of Sports Medicine and team physicians Maintain all required training certifications and stay current with best practices in athletic training
Communication & Advocacy
Serve as a trusted communicator with parents, coaches, teachers, and administrators regarding athlete health and safety Advocate clearly and confidently on behalf of every student-athlete in your care Play an active school-wide role in promoting and supporting student-athletes across all of their diverse interests
Records & Operations
Document and maintain accurate medical records in Healthy Roster Manage the athletic training room and maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment Assist with equipment maintenance, supply ordering, and inventory management
Practice & Game Coverage
Attend practices and games as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine Provide on-site coverage and immediate response across Lovett's 65+ Middle School through Varsity teams
What You Bring Required Qualifications
NATABOC Athletic Trainer Certification and Georgia Licensure - or current eligibility to apply Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (BLS or Professional Rescuer level) Working knowledge and hands-on experience with young athletes in the prevention, identification, and treatment of injuries and illnesses Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced athletic environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Sheets and Docs Availability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the athletic schedule demands Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of an active athletic training environment
