Joining a federal data engineering team, the full-time remote Mid-Level Data Engineer will develop and maintain ETL pipelines on a cloud-based Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) using AWS technologies while collaborating with senior engineers to support critical government functions. Key responsibilities:
Develop new ETL pipelines and data ingestion processes using AWS Glue, MWAA, and other AWS services, adhering to established ETL standards Monitor production jobs, identify issues, and ensure data availability within required ingestion timelines Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation for datasets, including ETL design documents and data models
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a closely related technical role Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL for ETL pipeline development Experience with AWS services including Glue, S3, and MWAA Familiarity with PostgreSQL and experience in agile development environments
