High school diploma or GED required. Medical assistant certification from an accredited program is mandatory. Accepted credentials include CMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), RMA (American Medical Technologists), CMA(MEDCA), RMA(ARMA), CCMA, and NRCMA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required. Experience:
At least one year of relevant experience coordinating durable medical equipment in a clinical setting. Preferred: One year of clinical experience in an outpatient environment.
Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to see, hear, read, and manually operate office and clinical equipment. Expect frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. There may be occasional exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.
