Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to extend your skills beyond traditional sports medicine by offering injury prevention and treatment to adults in an onsite early intervention clinic at a local manufacturing company. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary group of experts, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Massage Therapists, Personal Trainers, and Nutritionists. Athletic Trainer Responsibilities:
Working with and communicating with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals by evaluating the player's condition. Educating coaches, family members, and athletes in prevention and recovery of athletic injuries Designing training and rehabilitation programs for athletes and non-athletes. Using knowledge of sports-related injuries to diagnose and treat athletes and non-athletes Referring athletes to another doctor or other medical staff members. Assisting and monitoring injured individuals as they heal and progress towards recovery. Maintaining records relating to athlete condition and training, diet, and treatment plans. Implement the use of recovery tools and modalities such as cryotherapy, compression therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and more. Coordinate Athletic Combine Testing at Kinetic and in the community Develop and maintain relationships with local partners to ensure the continued success and relevance of our athletic programs. Handling clerical tasks, such as maintaining inventory, assisting with budgets, or restocking supplies.
Athletic Trainer Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in athletic training and a valid state license or certification. Proven education and experience in rehab and recovery. Emergency Cardiac Care and First Aid Certification Detail-oriented, analytical, and attentive. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, decision making, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers. 1-2 years experience is preferred
