We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate and skilled support under the supervision of registered nurses. This role involves delivering personalized care to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being across various clinical departments including hospice, inpatient care, birthing centers, and emergency services within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. Key Responsibilities
Perform CNA duties competently across multiple nursing departments as needed. Assist with personal hygiene care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support activities of daily living including housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation. Help with patient mobility including transfers, ambulation assistance, and repositioning. Accurately take and document vital signs and other patient observations. Maintain clear and timely documentation including clinical notes and timesheets. Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Adapt to changing workloads and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Support emergency department functions such as tracking lab and x-ray results, assisting with patient discharge processes, and preparing exam rooms. Education and Certification
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Completion of a 75-hour CNA certification course is required. Must be listed on the state Nurse Aide Registry at the time of hire. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association is mandatory. Experience and Skills
Previous experience in a CNA role preferred but not required. Ability to work flexibly across multiple departments and shifts. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively. Demonstrated empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills. Physical ability to meet the demands of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
