Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Personal Assistants in Kentucky provide essential non-medical, hands-on support to individuals with disabilities. Operating within the home and community, this role enables participants to live independently by assisting with daily living tasks, health monitoring, and maintaining a safe environment. Requirements Key Responsibilities and Duties
Personal Care: Provide hands-on assistance with daily hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Mobility & Safety: Offer transfer assistance and walking support to ensure the individual remains safe in their home and community.
Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, washing dishes, and tidying living spaces to maintain a healthy environment.
Nutritional Support: Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as identified in the participant's Person-Centered Service Plan.
Health Monitoring: Observe physical or mental changes, provide medication reminders, and assist with self-administration of prescribed medications according to regulations.
Companionship & Assistance: Offer emotional support and aid with errands, transportation to appointments, or social activities to encourage community involvement.
