High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) [ preferred] Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical record documentation preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
