The Clinical Services Assistant maintains the health center's supplies and inventory, manages the immunizations program and facilitates the patient assistance program. Responsibilities include the following:
Maintains inventory of health center's medical and office supplies Works with vendors and supply representatives to maintain up to date inventory Manages deliveries of clinic supplies and medical equipment Answers patient calls on care team line Conducts monthly pharmacy and supply inventory inspections
Manages returns of expired/discontinued medications and medical supplies
Vaccine Management
Maintains vaccine inventory in accordance with the VFC Program
Monitors and maintains vaccine and pharmacy temperature logs
Manages ALERT transfers and incoming shipments Submits vaccine management reports Updates and maintains stock of Vaccine Information Statements Responds to afterhours temperature alarms
Obtains and maintains required trainings for VFC program recertification Participates in VFC program site visits
Instruments and Equipment
Coordinates calibration, maintenance and repairs of medical equipment and instruments Patient Assistance
Assists patients in obtaining free or reduced cost services and medications Responsible for following work flows that result in capturing activities to meet patient engagement standards as outlined in the APCM program. Education and/or Experience:
Minimum: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Medical Terminology (required upon completion of training period) Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills Skills to intervene and promote reconciliation, compromise and positive outcomes in difficult interactions Skilled at using computers as applicable to area of work (Microsoft office: Excel, Word) Benefits Include the Potential for the Following:
