Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents, promoting their dignity and independence Assist with feeding and hydration as needed, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration for residents Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure Assist with transferring and positioning residents safely and comfortably Observe residents' conditions and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff Maintain a clean and orderly environment in resident rooms and common areas Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in meaningful interactions and activities Follow all established protocols and procedures to ensure resident safety and well-being
Requirements:
Hold a valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with the state licensing board High school diploma or equivalent required Proven experience working as a CNA in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Work Environment:
Work in a four-star skilled nursing facility in Endicott, NY Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals Provide care to a diverse population of residents
