Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED and some relevant work experience (bonus points if you've worked with youth or vulnerable populations). Valid Connecticut driver's license with a clean driving record.
What you'll be doing:
Create a safe and supportive environment by modeling positive behaviors. Help support and foster healthy relationships and a sense of belonging. Transport residents to appointments. Maintain clear and consistent boundaries while demonstrating empathy and compassion. Promote recovery and/or wellness by ensuring residents adhere to their treatment plans, establish healthy routines that promote self-care. Observe and document accurately client and visitor behavior, including challenges, absences and progress. Answer phones, take messages, and keep things running smoothly with mail distribution. Ensure safety of all in our care, with regular security rounds, monitoring of the systems, and ensure things are secure. Respond to emergencies, able to de-escalate and follow necessary protocols. Participate in group work, assist with chores, and help create opportunities for fun and growth. Promote accountability and completion of resident chores. Above all, be a positive role model and an encouraging presence for the young adults who call our residential facility home.
Physical demands: You'll be active with occasional lifting and walking. Why CHA?
