Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, documenting findings and recommending preventive actions. Promote a Safety Culture: Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and teams to foster a proactive approach to workplace safety. Maintain Safety Documentation: Keep detailed records of safety meetings, audits, and incident reports. Ensure PPE Compliance: Monitor the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment and other safety tools. Stay Updated on OSHA Regulations: Continuously monitor regulatory changes to ensure the company's compliance with the latest standards. Ideal Candidate:
Experienced in Construction Safety: Proven experience in commercial construction, mechanical construction, or general construction safety practices. Certified in OSHA Standards: Holds an OSHA 500 and/or 501 Certification in either the 1926 Construction Industry or 1910 General Industry standards. Bilingual in English and Spanish: Ability to communicate effectively with both English- and Spanish-speaking teams (required). Detail-Oriented and Organized: Capable of handling multiple tasks and maintaining thorough safety documentation. Strong Communicator: Skilled in conducting safety training and collaborating with diverse project teams. Problem Solver: Able to investigate incidents and implement corrective measures to prevent future occurrences. Passionate About Safety: Committed to creating and maintaining a safe workplace for all employees. Other Essential Functions:
Emergency Response: Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and ensure preparedness on all job sites. Safety Equipment Management: Ensure that all safety equipment is available, maintained, and used properly. Incident Reporting: Timely and accurate reporting of all safety-related incidents, near-misses, and hazards. Collaboration: Work closely with site management, employees, and contractors to implement safety solutions. Compliance Tracking: Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards to mitigate risks.
