Chestnut Park Rehabilitation & Nursing is hiring Resident Assistants to join our team and complete a paid CNA course to become New York State Certified. Job Details: Position Type: Full-Time Shifts: Day | Evening | Night* Pay Rate: $16.00 *CNA training occurs during day shift. All shifts will be required to do day shift classes About Us Chestnut Park Rehabilitation & Nursing provides long-term care and rehabilitation services in a supportive, resident-centered environment. Our team is committed to compassionate care, teamwork, and creating a safe, welcoming home for our residents. Position Overview As a Resident Assistant, you’ll work directly with residents and the nursing team to provide care, support, and companionship. This entry-level role is perfect for anyone starting a career in healthcare. Key Responsibilities
Assist with resident transport (non-weight bearing)
Pass out clothing protectors before meals
Distribute meal trays and assist with dining
Make beds, tidy rooms, and refill water pitchers
Round on units to maintain cleanliness
Clean shared areas (shower rooms, kitchen, utility rooms) at shift end
Answer call bells promptly and professionally
Complete other duties as assigned by Nursing Supervisor
Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Positive attitude, patience, and strong moral character
Ability and willingness to follow directions and learn new skills
Completion of general orientation and in-servicing
Physically able to remain on feet most of the day, kneel, reach, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs
