Administer Medications: Properly administer prescribed PO, topical (unbroken skin), and rectal medications according to physician's orders and company policies. Monitor and Report: Observe for adverse effects of administered medications and report them immediately to the Charge Nurse. Document Administration: Record all medication administration according to company policies. Ensure Safety and Security: Maintain the security of the medication cart and ensure a safe, hazard-free environment. Maintain Confidentiality: Protect the privacy and confidentiality of resident information. Follow Infection Control Policies: Adhere to infection control protocols during medication administration. Monitor Resident Status: Notify the Charge Nurse of complaints, reactions, or any changes in resident status. Report Errors: Report any medication errors immediately to the Charge Nurse. What Makes You a Great Fit We're seeking someone who:
Holds a current Medication Administration certification from the state. Demonstrates competence in medication administration and technical procedures. Possesses strong communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience. Is detail-oriented and capable of accurately recording information.
