We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer for an innovative technology company located in downtown Montreal.

You'll join a small, highly collaborative engineering team where every technical decision matters and where your work has a direct, visible impact on the final product.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the physical design, reliability, and manufacturability of the product.

Your 3D models will become the foundation of a technology designed to reduce industrial energy consumption on a global scale. You'll work in an agile environment where your ideas are valued, your voice is heard, and your contributions directly influence the success of the product.

• Design and model product assemblies, detailed drawings, and mechanical packaging using SolidWorks.

• Perform thermal simulations and CFD analyses to optimize heat dissipation and ensure reliable operation in high-efficiency systems.

• Design high-power mechanical systems and develop power cable routing solutions.

• Evaluate design durability, including vibration, impact, and fatigue performance, and generate Bills of Materials (BOMs).

• Build, assemble, and test prototypes, taking designs from concept through manufacturing readiness.

• Collaborate closely with electrical engineering and production teams throughout the entire product development cycle.

• Support product validation, testing, and continuous design improvements.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design for industrial electronics, power systems, or related products.

• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks, including assemblies, detailed drawings, and product packaging.

• Strong expertise in thermal analysis, CFD simulation, and heat management.

• Experience with plastic injection molding, BOM generation, and durability testing.

• Hands-on experience developing products from concept through prototyping and production.

• Experience with 3DEXPERIENCE is considered an asset.

• Familiarity with electric motor control systems is a strong asset.

• Strong hands-on skills and a practical mindset—you enjoy building and testing your own prototypes.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities evolve quickly and decisions have immediate impact.
