Job Summary: Explore healthcare careers through a unique job shadowing experience designed for individuals eager to observe specific clinical roles or departments. This opportunity offers a one-time, unpaid observation to help you determine if a particular healthcare path aligns with your interests. Program Details: Participants will shadow healthcare professionals or teams to gain firsthand insight into daily responsibilities and work environments. Scheduling is coordinated by a dedicated Volunteer Services team, aiming to provide meaningful and relevant experiences tailored to your preferences. Qualifications:
Minimum age of 16 for standard shadowing; some roles require participants to be 18 or older. Observation-only participation; no hands-on involvement. Shadowing duration does not exceed 7 days. Submission of vaccine documentation and any additional paperwork as requested by the Volunteer Services coordinator. Applications must specify areas of interest and availability dates at least 3 weeks to a month in advance; early or vague applications will not be considered.
Additional Information: For those interested in the Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) pathway, direct contact with the relevant medical school is recommended for shadowing opportunities. Please refrain from contacting departments or providers directly regarding application status; accepted applicants will be contacted via email by the Volunteer Services Coordinator.
