Lead Mechanical Design Engineer
to join our client's Chicago team. This is a key role in leading mechanical engineering projects from concept through construction.
The Lead Mechanical Design Engineer will provide technical leadership for the design and delivery of HVAC, plumbing, and building mechanical systems on a diverse portfolio of projects. This role combines hands-on engineering, project leadership, client engagement, and team mentoring responsibilities . Key Responsibiliti esLead the design and coordination of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems for a variety of project type s.Manage mechanical engineering project deliverables from schematic design through construction administratio n.Perform engineering calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, and technical analysi s.Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and construction document s.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineer s.Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and ensure integration of mechanical systems within overall building desig n. Qualificati onsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineeri ng.Professional Engineer (PE) license prefer redPrevious experience working for an AEC or MEP Consultancy preferr ed.Strong experience designing HVAC systems for commercial and institutional buildin gs.Proficiency or working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD / Vis io.Thorough knowledge of ASHRAE standards / cod es.
